Before we dive into the deep work, I offer a free 15-minute consultation call during which I will ask you some questions about your current life situation and emotional challenges. If you feel comfortable, we can then book your first session.
I work integratively, using a combination of approaches, philosophies and frameworks depending on your needs. My training included psychodynamic psychotherapy, placing particular focus on past experiences and how significant relationships shaped your life. Gestalt therapy, which focuses on the present moment and Solution Focused Therapy, which aims to explore your wishes and best hopes for the future. I also work within the EMDR framework, which helps re-processing trauma and difficult memories that are problematic.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. When something traumatic happens to us, sometimes our brain doesn't process it fully and properly. The memory gets "stuck" and every time something reminds us of it, we unconsciously react as if it's happening all over again, in the present moment. EMDR is a specific type of therapy that helps you reprocess these old memories through the use of bilateral stimulation.

Sometimes what we need is just to focus on short-term goals. Solution focused brief therapy works particularly well if you're facing a single and specific challenge, going through a transition, or feeling stuck in patterns you can see clearly but can't seem to break.
